Caudwell Children

We aim to change the lives of sick and disabled children throughout the UK by giving direct donations of therapy, treatment, specialised equipment or dying wish holiday sto individual children. We also aim to ful fil our £500,000 pledge to the NSPCC Full Stop Campaign.

Current opportunities

Offer support to families across our funded regions (West/East Dunbartonshire, Glasgow, North/South Lanarkshire, East Renfrewshire and Renfrewshire) and throughout Scotland, who care for a child with a disability. This support is offered through a range of ways: * To provide families with information they need to make informed decisions * To provide emotional support within the family home * To provide practical support within the family home * To record support, and maintain records as requirede are looking for volunteers in the Glasgow area including East Renfrewshire

Lead volunteers will have the responsibility of organising family’s support plan and delegating the support required out to other volunteers within the regions. Full support will be there from training onwards and you will have the opportunity to attend families Initial Assessments with the Family Services Coordinator. We are looking for volunteers in the Glasgow area including East Renfrewshire.

Volunteers are required to play a crucial role in the Family Services department for Caudwell Children. In order the service to develop and expand it is crucial that we are able to gain valuable feedback from the families we have helped. Through telephone contact with the families we have supported, volunteers will collect feedback from our service users that will influence the future of the service. Volunteers will be trained to ensure that the families have received the support needed and identify any further support the family may require.
