Adults living with this progressive and debilitating condition can face a variety of challenges that disadvantage them soically, financially and in the workplace. The relationship will help achieve a better quaility of life by braodening their horizons, improving their confidence abd increasing their independence.

Looking for Drivers who can provide transport for people affected by Cystic Fibrosis to hospital appointments. The clinets do not need any physical help getting in and out of the vehicle and drviers use their own car. Children and adults with Cysytic Fibrosis have to attend clinic appointments in hospital to have their health monitore usually every 3 months.

Massage therapy is offered to young adults during hospital admissions. This service is highly regarded by both clients and the medical professionals who care for the,. Many of these young people are far from home and the therapist provides much appreciated social contact in addtion to the benefits of the massage.

Looking for Befrienders who will be matched with a young pereson who they will meet regularly, developing a supportive 1:1 relationship whilst engaging in social activities. Befriending enables young people to develop increased confidence,self-esteem and general wellbeing and reduces isolation. The Butterfly Trust is the keading provider for social support to the Cystic Fibrosis community of Scotland.
