Current opportunity

Are you a qualified counsellor, psychotherapist, or art therapist? Do you want to contribute to the community and help people on limited means to have counselling, psychotherapy, or art therapy? We are looking for volunteer practitioners with at least one year’s post-qualifying experience who would be prepared to see two clients per week. In return for your input, we offer monthly peer supervision, contribution towards clinical supervision, expenses, professional seminars, and a contribution towards CPD. You will also have the opportunity to raise your own profile as a therapist. Arkordia, established in 2007, is a small, voluntary, counselling agency within the Lothians. It is registered as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation and has organisational membership of COSCA. Our aim is to provide a high-quality counselling and psychotherapy service, including a wide range of therapeutic disciplines, to members of the public who are on low incomes. Our work is based in The Southside Centre, 86 Causewayside, Edinburgh EH9 1PU. For further details of our work, please see our website http://arkordia.org/
