Current opportunities

Would you like to raise funds to help support people over the age of 18 with mental ill health? Could you offer a few hours periodically to run/assist with a fundraising Quiz in Caithness? We are keen to host a quiz throughout Caithness on a regular basis but reguire volunteers to offer to mark, quiz-master, sell raffles etc. This is a good opportunity to get involved in a worthwhile service without a lot of commitment. This is a flexible opportunity to volunteer from home. You will be trained to support someone with mental ill health or memory difficulties by completing 6 modules with the help of the local coordinator. After training you need to commit to regular contact which could be as little as 20/30 minutes per week. As a distance volunteer you can chose to email, write or telephone someone facing isolation. All correspondence is conducted through a secure system to protect both parties in the befriending relationship. This is a confidential, non judgemental supported friendship [ no home visiting] For more information get in touch
