Dragados UK

Dragados UK is part of the Dragados Group - a key construction arm of the world-leading ACS Group. The ACS Group operates in 68 countries.

Dragados UK is part of the exciting Aberdeen Harbour Expansion Project and is committed to ensuring that the investment of the new harbour brings with it lasting benefits for local communities. For this reason, Dragados UK and Aberdeen Harbour Board have developed a programme of community benefit initiatives that will ensure a positive impact on the local economy and the communities surrounding the project.

Our initiatives particularly provide help to:
-individuals that need support to improve their employability, and
-organisations that need some kind of support or funding to continue developing their projects in the community.

Current opportunities

Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of the Aberdeen Harbour Expansion Project (AHEP), one of the largest marine engineering project taking place in the North East of Scotland for many decades. The Community Ambassador Programme associated with the AHEP offers full training and a volunteer work placement to unemployed and unoccupied people who live in our neighbouring communities, especially in Torry. Excellent support and training includes: *WorldHost Principles of Customer Service. *Introduction to Dragados UK and the project. *Presentation from the Dragados UK Engineering Manager on the construction programme and process. *Health and Safety Induction by Dragados UK H&S team. *Environmental Presentation by Dragados UK Environmental team. *Presentation from Aberdeen Harbour Board on the aims and objectives of AHEP. *Community Engagement and Communications Induction on processes and protocols needed during the placement. *Visitor Centre Induction by Dragados UK Community Engagement team, with a detailed description of operations and exhibition materials. *Talk from the Maritime Museum staff and tour of the Museum. *A Harbour Tour on an Aberdeen Harbour Board boat.
