SWAN (Scottish Women's; Autism Network) is an autistic-led Charity delivering services, information and support by and for autistic women and non-binary people across Scotland.


Current opportunity

SWAN: Autism - Social meet up facilitator assistant SWAN Autism social group assistant facilitator - Inverness To help the volunteer facilitator to facilitate a social peer support group for autistic women and non-binary people on a monthly basis in Inverness This will include welcoming new and returning members, encouraging and guiding discussion, as well as dealing sensitively with any issues or conflict that may arise within the group meeting. Key Responsibilities • Attend an orientation session and Group assistant Facilitator Training online • To help the facilitator facilitate a Meet Up peer support group at the agreed time each month • To inform the Volunteer Coordinator of any adverse incidents or concerns following a group session • To adhere to all SWAN’s policy and procedures including confidentiality • To inform your Volunteer coordinator at the earliest opportunity if you are unable to facilitate a session If you would like to find out more about this role please contact Mandy on Mandy.williams@swanscotland.org Please visit our website to find out more about what we do www.swanscotland.org SWAN is a dynamic, rapidly growing, unique and ground-breaking Charity. We are the only Charity in Scotland focused on autistic women, girls, and non-binary people*. Founded in 2012, SWAN was run entirely on a voluntary basis until 2019, when funding was obtained from larger national charity Scottish Autism, to put SWAN on a sustainable footing. SWAN also has grants from Scottish Government and the Health and Social Care Alliance and is supported by Inspiring Scotland.
