Being a gallery volunteer is an exciting opportunity to support the temporary exhibitions at Callendar House and share your passion for the arts. Volunteers are invited to help engage our visitors with our exhibitions. Gallery volunteers will meet and greet visitors to our temporary exhibitions in Callendar House and provide informal tours or information about the artist and their work. The exhibition will provide an opportunity for visitors to see and on occasion purchase work of the highest standard. As a volunteer you will add that extra spark to our exciting exhibitions programme and be part of a team that will contribute to enhancing our visitors’ experience at Callendar House. What is involved? •Interaction with visitors to the temporary exhibition spaces, providing information on the exhibition and the artists involved. •Supervising work on display. •Provide and share information about the exhibition, Callendar House and upcoming events/exhibitions. What is in it for you? •Skills development opportunities in teamwork, confidence building, and communication. •Experience in a museum/visitor attraction/customer service environment. •Opportunities to meet like-minded people. •Opportunity to share your passion for art and craft. •Your support will contribute to your local community cultural/museum services.
