An exciting opportunity to make a difference in your local community. Thornhill Community Centre is a well established hub within Falkirk Town Centre. It provides a vital service to local community groups, families and other services looking for a space to meet, celebrate, enjoy, collaborate and build a better future for the people of Falkirk. This is an ideal time to join our Management Committee and be part of a group of passionate individuals who help to manage the current activities at the Community Centre and are also seeking to develop and improve the facilities for wider community access. The Management Committee is made up of volunteers who meet bi-monthly and are responsible for the management of regular bookings for community groups, charities and short term lets or family events, children's parties and other community events. As a member of the Management Committee you will have an opportunity to provide input to decisions about the ongoing management and future development of the Community Centre. The Management Committee is run in accordance with a formal constitution and seeks to be inclusive of the opinions and views of members. The role will also involve some practical support from time to time, including helping to promote the use of the Community Centre on social media or helping to and manage specific bookings or reviewing accounts, as required. We are seeking a wide range of additional skills to compliment the existing members including individuals who have experience of Community Centres, Treasury or Facilities or Building Management or other charity experience, or someone who lives locally and is keen to make a difference.
