Arrows is the Drug and alcohol service in Moray. We aim to be a driving factor behind the growth of Morays Recovery Community. Run by Quarriers, Arrows supports Adults with problematic substance use, offering advice, information and treatment to support Adults in their recovery. We will support individuals to recognise the impact substance use is having on their well being, relationships or lifestyle and help build a plan for the future. Treatment can include one to one, group and peer led support to build motivation, set goals and manage addictions using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approaches and Motivational Interviewing. Arrows is a service for anyone worried about drug or alcohol use, whether it is their own or loved ones. We can support family members and friends in their own right to understand problematic substance use, to be supporting factors in a loved one's recovery, and to focus on their own wellbeing in the process. Individuals can drop into the service, call in or be referred by a professional with consent.


Current opportunity

The Bow Cafe is looking for friendly people to help out at this drop-in community cafe run by Quarriers Arrows Service in Elgin. The Bow is an important part in bringing the community together, and we need the community's help! Roles are flexible in the Bow; If you like baking, speaking with the community, a bustling environment or behind the scenes work, pick what you'd like or try something new! The cafe is open weekdays from 8:30-3pm, with volunteers welcome from 8:30-5pm. Volunteer on the days and times that best suit you! Any out-of-pocket expenses, including travel, will be reimbursed by Arrows with the proper receipts. Volunteers aged 16 and up are welcome to apply. Quarriers Arrows service requires a PVG check for all volunteers (paid for by Quarriers), because of this, it takes roughly 3-4 weeks to complete the onboarding process.
