Musselburgh Computer Club

The Musselburgh Computer Club is part of a network of computer clubs (Known as Scottish Seniors Computer Clubs or SSCC) run on a voluntary basis in East Central Scotland for anyone aged 50 or above. The clubs aim to advance the education of older people by extending their knowledge of computing in a friendly environment, and to promote the welfare and support the needs of older people by facilitating access to online technology & services, thereby reducing social isolation.

Current opportunity

We are a small friendly computer club for over 50s who meet each week at Wetherspoons (David Macbeth Moir) in Musselburgh every Friday from 10.00 – 12.00. The main aim of the club is to have fun whilst learning new computer skills. Our members vary from individuals who have never touched a computer, to those already knowledgeable in the basics and want to improve their skills. Members work at their own pace, and set what they want to cover – there is no fixed syllabus. You will work as part of a team of tutors, usually with different members each week. We are looking for individuals with the right skills to support and guide our members at club meetings.
