Current opportunities

We are currently seeking volunteers to assist in our new Trolley Service at Ayr Hospital. The service(s) we provide is open to patients, visitors and staff who are all grateful for the work done by the volunteers. Main responsibilities: - Taking the trolley service around the wards selling crisps, sweets, soft drinks and magazines; with another volunteer - May involve cash handling - Friendly approach The Trolley Service will be available across the wards during afternoons. The phone is generally answered Mon to Fri 9am to 2pm, but anyone can leave a message and we will get back to the volunteer at our earliest.

We are currently seeking volunteers to assist us with the newspaper delivery service at Ayr Hospital. The service we provide is open to patients, visitors and staff who are all grateful for the work done by the volunteers. Main responsibilities: - Loading the trolley with newspapers, snacks etc. - Visit different stations at the hospital as guided by the station staff. - Accept cash payment and able to give change back - Return to shop to clear or restock trolley Currently the newspaper delivery starts at 8am Monday to Friday. Shifts suitable to volunteers and if there is a bigger pool of volunteers, it needn't be an everyday commitment. The newspaper delivery volunteering can be in addition to or separate from the tea bar/shop volunteering duties. We encourage anyone to register their interest, as we support all volunteers.
