Current opportunities

We are looking for a number of volunteers who can help with both the preparation and delivery of our national events programme including community engagement stands at shows, conferences, VIP receptions and dinners. We are looking for confident people with skills in events/communications/admin who can support these high-profile events. This role is all about taking on important tasks as part of an existing team and helping to add ideas, capacity and above all enthusiasm! We are looking for people who have a range (but not necessarily all) of the experience and skills below. We plan to tailor the tasks and mini-projects we give each volunteer depending on their previous skills and experience. By opening our work to more volunteers in this way, it means we can scale up what we can achieve and do more for nature. The team tasks are varied and will include: undertaking online research proof reading and copywriting answering enquires from supporters contacting stakeholders providing support for partners drafting evaluation reports This role can be done from home anywhere across the UK.

Cafe volunteers wanted - imagine a day out without coffee and cake? We'd rather not! We are looking for volunteers to help in our cafe and allow our visitors to relax and refuel. There are different tasks so you're bound to find something you enjoy. So if you are looking to meet new people and/or gain catering experience, this role could be just what you are looking for. As part of our café team you will be serving customers hot and cold drinks, clearing tables, talking to customers about our food and drink options, maintaining cleanliness standards and health and safety codes of practice. You will be helping visitors find seating and answering questions. Café team volunteers volunteer on a rota to cover the needs of the site, this could be from a few hours a week.
