Orkney Cats are looking for a Treasurer to support the work of their cat charity. Orkney Cats works to rescue, rehabilitate and find homes for cats and kittens in Orkney. We also run a charity shop in Stromness to fund our work to rescue, foster and rehome cats including veterinary care, travel, and advertising as well as a feral cat trapping and neutering project. Tasks would include: Receiving bank statements Checking income and expenditure bank clearances Paying expenses as required Collecting and banking the Orkney Cats shop takings Managing and providing information from an income and expenditure spreadsheet Providing annual accounts and relevant paperwork to the auditor Attending committee meetings and presenting updates of financial matters We are a small team who have worked together for some years and we know and trust each other – you would be warmly welcomed.
