The carbon-neutral environmentally built and designed Centre is situated in the unique landscape of Findhorn Bay, Moray. Internally the new Centre has been planned to be a vibrant and motivating environment which allows people to meet, discuss and generate a community of creativity. The Centre has three flexible, rentable classrooms, four individual artist studios, a Community Gallery (Gallery 2), with meeting and study areas, and a main hi-spec gallery (Gallery 1).

Since opening in 2008, 14,000 people have used the centre. It also has an active volunteer programme in place.

Current opportunities

Moray Art Centre is seeking to strengthen its board by recruiting some new members. We would be interested in hearing from individuals with a business background who bring special knowledge in areas like marketing, third sector experience, finance, IT, Health and Safety etc., and also from those with an artistic background to strengthen our creative team. We would, however, particularly like to hear from those with experience of fundraising, including corporate sponsorship.

To maintain the lovely gardens and grounds surrounding the centre for the overall enjoyment of the participants, visitors, staff and volunteers. You will be involved with all aspects of ground maintenance, including weeding and pruning of flower beds. Volunteers please bring your imagination, too!

Gallery & Art assistants are required to support the curating, installation and promotion of exhibitions. We offer training to anyone in this role. This role could be paired up with other roles in MAC to create a busy placement for an enthusiastic person who is passionate about art and culture.
