Current opportunities

Cornerstone offer a "matching" service when it comes to this fun side of volunteering. We have opportunities across the whole of Scotland where you can get involved and make a big difference to the lives of the people we support through befriending. Let us know your interests and availability (even a couple of hours once a fortnight will make a big difference) and we will match you to someone who could use your company within the community. From Stonehaven, Aberdeen City and Shire all the way to Moray - we want to hear from you. This is a great, fun way to add something to your CV, gain experience and improve confidence or an excellent opportunity to just try something new. If you are patient, understanding and are motivated to volunteer then please get in touch. All reasonable expenses will be reimbursed and full support will be given.

Our Childrens' Service in Moray provides after school clubs for children who have disabilities and various support needs. Clubs will be based in various locations throughout Moray and run after school, Monday to Friday and at holidays periods throughout the year. As an Activity Enabler you will be assisting staff in providing fun activities, supporting and encouraging children to take part according to their individual abilities. We are particularily keen to hear from people who have experience or an interest in activities such as music, arts and crafts, storytelling amongst others. All volunteers who work with vulnerable groups are required to complete a PVG application.

Parkholme is a purpose built bungalow, with 6 individual rooms - a sensory room, an activity room and its own sensory garden. We are looking for a volunteer who would like to come along to help support the individuals ( males & females) to enjoy various activities. These activities are varied and would include going for walks, attending local coffee mornings and visiting local cafes, doing arts and crafts, attending folk club, sharing love of music and reading stories. We are looking for energetic volunteers who can bring their own particular skills to the people we support, to help enhance and add variety to their daily lives.
