About Indepen-dance Indepen-dance is an award-winning inclusive dance company for disabled and non-disabled people to enjoy, express and fulfil their potential through dance. Our mission is to enable participation in high quality arts provision and improve wellbeing, quality of life and provide opportunities for disabled and non-disabled dancers in both the professional and non-professional dance sectors. We provide weekly creative movement and dance classes throughout the year, where participants become lifelong members and join a thriving social network. We also provide bespoke professional training, career development and employment opportunities. About Coffee Hut Coffee Hut is a new venture for us here at Indepen-dance opening in November 2022. Coffee Hut is a Volunteer-led project supported by a donation supply of Coffee from Tin Donkey Coffee with all proceeds going directly to our charity to support the work we do. Role – Barista Volunteer Volunteers will receive an induction and training on equipment, menu, processes and cash handling. Time commitment: We will be as flexible as possible and ask volunteers to commit to a set shift each week or be scheduled into a rota which will be reviewed monthly to allow flexibility. Opening Hours will be 10am – 2pm, Monday to Friday with shifts being 2 – 4 hours long. Duties: -To take part in Barista Training and practice offered -Following procedures and guidance given -Prepare Coffee Hut for opening for the day -Making orders and serving customers -Cash handling and monitoring stock -Cleaning throughout and closing up -Train and share skills with new Barista Volunteers If you're interested, please click the ‘apply’ button below (available when logged in and registered). Role – Dance Support Volunteer The role of Dance Support Volunteer will be to commit and attend one of our weekly scheduled dance classes to provide and assist the dance tutor and dance artist deliver a class for our dancers (members). Develop professional practice and skills by supporting our members with a disability to take part in class.
