Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland's leading dementia charity. Established in 1994, our entire organisation is dedicated to understanding the challenges dementia brings and supporting people with dementia and their partners, families and carers to meet these challenges and live well with dementia. Our main aim is that no-one should go through dementia alone.

Current opportunity

As a community group volunteer, you can choose to volunteer with one or more of our regular groups. Whether you’re interested in gardening, sports, music, history, crafting – or just want to offer a listening ear – we’ll have a group that suits you. The role is incredibly varied and likely to involve: - Ensuring the venue is set up before a group starts; helping to clear up after the group - Delivering activities - Making tea and coffee for attendees - Supporting others to feel comfortable and looked after within the group setting - Supporting attendees to engage with activities in a way that ensures they feel safe & comfortable Dementia doesn’t discriminate, neither do we! Regardless of your background, we can support you to develop the skills you need for this role.
