Police Scotland Youth Volunteers (Dundee)

PSYV is a group of 48 youth volunteers between the age of 13 and 18. We meet every week to discuss different topics. Topics range from being Police related, charities, outside speakers, games, activities, outings and events. We also volunteer at weekends at local and national events. We also have various adult volunteers to assist running sessions and events.

Current opportunity

As an adult volunteer you would attend weekly sessions at one of the PSYV meeting points where you would assist with the running of group sessions. During group sessions the youth volunteers receive inputs from outside organisations, charities, police departments, go on visits to different locations e.g. Life boats, Tayside police museum, play games, team building and plan events. You would be assisting with the running of these events. Further to this you would be attending local and national events which could include local community gala days, charity runs, sponsored walks, music events or large sporting evets. Whilst at these events you would be responsible in supporting with the supervision of the youth volunteers, issuing tasks and encouraging the youths.
