The Linda Tremble Foundation

Charity registered in Scotland SC045002

This charity was set up in memory of Linda Tremble who sadly lost her battle with Anorexia Nervosa in April 2011. The Foundation is a fairly new and small not-for-profit charity that has now set up groups to help support people suffering with an eating disorder and their families and/or carers.
Recovering from an eating disorder can be a long, difficult and onerous journey and we hope that together we can make the path a little bit easier.
Both these support groups will be confidential, informal, friendly and always respect privacy. They will be run by trained facilitators and everyone will have a chance to speak if they wish to, or they can just listen.

Current opportunity

The Linda Tremble Foundation is seeking volunteer Board members to join an existing team of trustees in a forward looking and inclusive organisation. They are looking for dynamic individuals to join the Board of Directors in supporting the strategic direction and development of the organisation to provide support to people struggling with eating disorders and their families and carers’. If you are interested in improving mental health and wellbeing then this would be a rewarding and exciting opportunity. The most important thing for their charity, and the entire reason for their existence, is helping people currently facing challenges with eating disorders to recover, and at the same time to support their families and carers. The Foundation can support them in the community and help to provide early intervention as well as supporting those who need support over the longer term, which can be for several years or longer. This role provides an excellent opportunity to help other people where it is most needed, to learn and increase your transferable skills as a trustee and join a strong team of trustees and Development Manager with diverse and complementary skills.
