Absafe works to advance safety, prevent accidents and save lives. This includes safety in the home, road and community.
Absafe undertakes a range of work to promote safety. This includes innovative educational programmes at The Safe a purpose built, interactive village containing real life scenarios coupled with 21st century technology, with each zone specifically created to tackle a different safety issue. By exploring and interacting with 'real life' dangerous situations in a risk free environment, visitors experience an exciting, thrilling and memorable way to learn valuable safety lessons they can apply to their day-to-day lives.
Volunteering at Absafe is an experience like no other.
As one of our volunteers, you’re part of a close-knit team, all with a common goal – to use education to save lives.
You’ll help us deliver our dynamic safety sessions with the Absafe team to young people and all we ask for is plenty of energy, a positive attitude and an interest in developing your own skills.
We’ll provide you with the training you require, and complete the relevant disclosure checks so you’re up and running within no time.
Our volunteers are so important to us. We value their experience, time and enthusiasm for our charity – that’s why we won the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service and the Volunteer Friendly Award.
Whatever your age or ability, whatever time you can spare, we’ve got plenty of opportunities to keep you entertained -anything you do will be valuable and most importantly will save lives. So, if you fancy boosting your CV, meeting new people and being involved with a major charity please get in touch.

Boo! Scream if you want to save lives! Seriously, we'll train you to electrocute, run over and set fire to our visitors. It'll be virtual fun all in the name of safety. Remember, we scare because we care.
Absafe is a local Aberdeen based charity. We teach kids about personal safety, but we need your help for them to learn. ‘The Safe’ is safety education, personal development and community engagement all wrapped up in one fantastic, fun filled package.
At the Safe, we make safety fun. Using interactive education we have created a safety funfair to make learning safety and risk assessment an experience to remember.
Through simulation, we will run them over with cars, squash them with trains and electrocute them. We set fire to the rooms they walk in, stalk them online and fleece them out of a great deal of money.
