Current opportunities

Barnardo’s Donation Centre in Clydebank are looking for a Warehouse Assistant whose role will be to assist with the unloading of stock, moving the stock to the area designated for it, booking stock in, replacing stock in the shop and assisting customers to their cars with any purchases. Building any furniture that arrives and to assist with any stock rotation as and when required.

We require cash desk operators whose role will be to greet and serve customers, assist with customer enquiries, cash handling, completion of relevant paperwork, serve customers at the till, complete till transactions and promote any further sales.

We are looking for a qualified PAT tester (Certificate 2). You will gain experience and develop your skills and confidence in PAT testing, and develop communication and social skills from volunteering in the charity shop, where you will be interacting with staff, other volunteers and customers. You will be checking donated electrical goods to ensure they comply with safety standards and are fully functioning before the items are displayed in the shop for sale. We would welcome volunteers who are responsible, enthusiastic, reliable and keen to get involved with the shop.

Barnardo’s Donation Centre is looking for a Stock Generator to contact local businesses and previous donors to ask if they have any goods that they would like to donate. The role requires someone who is comfortable on the phone and has a good telephone manner, some sales skills would be an advantage but not essential
