Milngavie in Bloom

Charity registered in Scotland SC041480

The aim of Milngavie in Bloom is to bring colour to the town of Milngavie by planting the various bedding areas around the Precinct and also by placing barrels and planters within the pedestrianised streets. Like a number of our “fellow bloomers” we also aim to litter pick as this also helps preserve the town centre. Our litter picking activity we call
Clean Sweep

Current opportunities

Volunteers work as part of a team planting and maintain plots and containers in and near Milngavie Town Centre, sometimes working with other voluntary groups. It is an excellent opportunity to contribute to making Milngavie a more pleasant place to live, work and visit as well as learning from others about gardening, making new friends and enjoying being out of doors. Groups meet approx. twice a month with volunteers invited to give what time suits them.
