Current opportunities
Volunteers use their own vehicles to take patients to and from medical appointments. Volunteers let us know availability i.e, which day/days they wish to do and what times. Volunteers can also let us know what hospitals they are happy to take patients to and what hospitals they would not like to go to. Drivers pick up no earlier than 8.45 am and finish no later than 5.30 pm. Normally it is one patient per driver per car.
We are looking for drivers for our people carrier and mini bus. Drivers will pick up in and around Barrhead and Neilston on a Thursday afternoon (1 - 4.30 pm) to bring our members to Afternoon Tea at Barrhead Resource Centre. Drivers for people carrier must have a full clean driving license and drivers for minibus must have the same but also D1 on license.

Our Wee Red buses provide Community Transport in East Renfrewshire to help people within our community get to & from events, groups, hospitals etc.
We are looking for escorts to help assist drivers on people carrier and minibus collecting and returning members from afternoon tea on a Thursday afternoon. Escorts help members get in and out of bus as well as assisting with seatbelts etc. Escorts need to be available between 1 & 4.30 pm.
