Current opportunity

Strathearn Artspace (known as Strathearn Arts) is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO SC044319), whose broad charitable purposes are to support the arts within Strathearn through promotion, education, community engagement and the provision of a sustainable arts centre based in Crieff. We present a diverse and growing programme of artistic and cultural events and exhibitions at our main base on Comrie Street, as well as supporting events in other venues throughout Strathearn. In the past year, we have hosted concerts, theatre, ceilidhs, folk club, tea dances, comedy, visual art exhibitions, a pop-up museum, author readings/recitals and a cinema. At our heart, we are a community-based project whose aim is to support local artists and creatives in a variety of ways, and to promote Strathearn as a cultural hub within the Scottish arts context. Since the organisation was founded in 2013, we have taken on a range of projects, from renovating our historic former-library building to expanding our programme in terms of both diversity and accessibility. We are currently going through a period of rapid growth and as such are looking to expand our Board with the addition of three new Trustees with a wide range of skills and experience and an interest in supporting the Arts in Strathearn. Trustees are jointly responsible for running the SCIO and we are looking for individuals with the interests, skills, experience and contacts to identify and exploit new opportunities and help us take Strathearn Arts through its next period of development.
