LINK - East Fife Mental Health Adolescent Befriending Project

Charity registered in Scotland SC027493

LINK works with marginalised, isolated 12-18 year olds in East Fife and Levenmouth with mental health issues. We aim to assist the young people to increase their resilience, confidence, social skills and self esteem through the support of a consistent and reliable befriender.

Current opportunities

LINK is once again seeking volunteers for the Adolescent Befriending Project. If you can spare a couple of hours a fortnight and would like to help young people (12-18) who have become isolated due to mental health issues, LINK would like to hear from you.

LINK works with 12-18 year olds who have become isolated due to mental health issues. They aim to assist the young people to increase their resilience, confidence, social skills and self esteem through the support of a consistent and reliable befriender. With the young person, you might decide to go out to various activities (there's a monthly budget for this) or find other ways of support and contact. Volunteers don't need to have experience of mental health - training and support for the volunteer is provided. If you can spare a couple of hours a fortnight, would like to help young people, have a positive attitude, good listening skills, and a sense of fun, LINK would like to hear from you.
