To network and partner with other organisations in order to offer a wider variety of resources for individuals and their families.


Current opportunities

Agape Wellbeing is a community-based Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) in East Kilbride, operating under a Christian ethos and offering services to promote positive wellbeing within the town. Focussing on mental health, social prescribing, and young families, we also have a small retail outlet next door to our community hub, providing volunteering and work experience opportunities . Agape Wellbeing is seeking to recruit suitably experienced and qualified people onto our Board of Trustees. In an increasing challenging financial environment, we are seeking to increase our working partnerships, improve our effectiveness, continue to develop creative approaches to meet need and increase our unrestricted income. To help achieve this, we are seeking new volunteer Board Trustees, particularly those with an appropriate level of the following knowledge, skills or experience: Finance / audit / accounting Human Resources Health and Social Care Digital Marketing These roles will play an important part in supporting and overseeing the development of Agape Wellbeing and will share responsibility for its success, including financial viability and compliance with all relevant regulations. You will help us shape the future of our innovative charity. This important role involves sharing responsibility for Agape Wellbeing’s governance and strategy and ensuring the charity and social enterprise is administered effectively and in accordance with law. We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to help provide an opportunity for men in our community to take part in our weekly men’s group who meet weekly on a Wednesday morning. You will engage with members of our community at the group. The group leader will work alongside the men to produce a weekly programme of activities driven by the group members. Whilst the group leader will guide the activities they should also encourage the men to share their knowledge and skills with the rest of the group. You will also be responsible for administrative takes such as taking a register and writing up feedback each week that will be used as evidence for funders of the work being carried. Being part of this initiative would mean you are giving people in our local community the chance to participate in groups and activities whilst encouraging a healthier lifestyle, learning new skills and improving social interaction with others.

We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to help provide an opportunity for all in our community to take part in our wellbeing groups and activities. You will engage with members of our womens group within our wellbeing centre. As a group leader you will be required to take on administrative tasks for example taking a register as well as assist with planning and delivering the activitiy sessions. Our womens group meet weekly on a Friday 1-3pm. Be being one of the leaders of this group you are giving people in our local community the chance to participate in groups and activities whist encouraging a healthier lifstlye and social interaction with others. There are many benefits to be gained from this volunteering opportunity, such as relevant work experience, meeting future contacts, learning new organisational and group leader skills.

As a group leader you will be required to take on administrative tasks for example taking a register as well as assist with planning and delivering the craft sessions. Our craft group meet weekly on a Thursday 1.30-3pm. Be being one of the leaders of this group you are giving people in our local community the chance to participate in groups and activities whist encouraging a healthier lifstlye and social interaction with others. There are many benefits to be gained from this volunteering opportunity, such as relevant work experience, meeting future contacts, learning new organisational and group leader skills.
