Foodbanks in Aberdeen provide emergency food and vital support to local people experiencing crisis in Aberdeen City. Every day people go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy, poverty to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income.
The Food Banks Partnership Aberdeen coordinates food banks in the city while guiding users towards services that can help prevent people becoming reliant on these resources.
Partners include, Community Food Initiatives North East (CFINE), Instant Neighbour Trust and Aberdeen Cyrenians.
As well as providing emergency food, all partners are committed to promoting employment, signposting to money advice, debt management and household budgeting services, and other sources of support to develop resilience and help people to move on and out of poverty.

We are currently recruiting Volunteer Drivers to help in our vital work. This will include assisting with aspects such as deliveries of produce to the Food-Bank Partnership base in Poynernook Road, Aberdeen and to our partner outlets across the City. If you can spare a few hours to help with this or wish to discuss any other volunteer opportunities we currently have please get in touch. We are currently recruiting volunteers to help in this important work. If you can spare a few hours to help please get in touch. There are lots of things that need doing from sorting food and packing food parcels and donations, serving clients/customers, helping with collections, assisting in the warehouse, admin. support, driving/making deliveries, organisation of and participation in food drives and working as part of a team to achieve the foodbank objectives. If you would like to help with any of these aspects we will be delighted to hear from you.
