Current opportunities

Moray Fresh Start SCIO is a small local charity which provides Starter Packs for people who have been homeless and are moving into their new tenancies. It is important that the tenancy gets off to a good start and so Moray Fresh Start provides essential smaller household items quickly. Members of the public offer donations of goods which they believe we can use in the starter packs; these have to be sorted into types -- acceptable or not. This volunteer opportunity is for someone who can accept these donations of goods for two hours on Saturday mornings from 10 am-12pm. You will be volunteering on your own, but full training and induction and support is offered on an ongoing basis.

Do you know a thing or two about websites or I.T. and could you share some of your expertise, for a short time to help Moray Fresh Start? This is a one off opportunity to help them upgrade their tech -- website, email, donating, social media -- all four are in place but they believe they could be much more effective! This is a chance to review current systems, review opportunities present changes to the committee and then importantly set up or help us to set up the agreed changes. Training of a small group of two to four computer confident volunteers would be most welcomed too! The opportunity could be one off project or could continue from time to time if the volunteer wished. This a small local charity dedicated to offering practical support to homeless people securing a tenancy and making a fresh start in life! Your expertise and skill would be very much appreciated for whatever time and advice you could give.
