Community Alliance Trust (CAT)

It does this by: Developing community assets and new social enterprise initiatives in the local community, Taking their lead from the community in planning and implementing their projects.
Craigmillar Growers is establishing a network of community gardens for local residents to grow vegetables and fruit together. Produce is shared among participants, used for cooking regular community meals, and donated to local community food projects, addressing food insecurity in deprived neighbourhoods. There are a variety of tasks and these will be matched with the volunteers experience and skills.
You will be responsible for receiving deliveries, liaising with suppliers and ensuring that produce is stored correctly and in accordance with the Pantry's FIFO procedure (first in first out). There is scope here for the role to be more practical or more creative based on preference and skills.
