We all need to stay at home to protect ourselves and others. However, those who are well and not at risk can provide essential support for their family, friends and neighbours who cannot leave the house.

Edinburgh Napier University - School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Care

Charity registered in Scotland SC018373

Student learning is at the heart of what we do at Edinburgh Napier University. Within the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Care we strive to provide a high standard of education so that our students are knowledgeable and appropriately skilled for modern healthcare so that patient safety is maintained and the care delivered to patients and clients is individualised and compassionate.

Current opportunity

Edinburgh Napier University are looking for members of the public to act as, patients. A Simulated Patient is someone who has been carefully trained to act as a patient, and as such the students will practice non-invasive skills such as communication, moving and handling. This will increase their confidence and competence, and will help prepare them for clinical practice. We have many manikins and models, but there is no better way to prepare students than to let them practice their skills.
