The Community Help & Advice Initiative (CHAI) offers a range of advice services in relation to welfare rights, debt, employability and housing matters. We work holistically to facilitate the needs of our clients with inclusion and equality at the core of our practise. Our aims are to relieve poverty, prevent homelessness, encourage employability and increase our client’s quality of life.

Current opportunity
The Community Help and Advice Initiative (CHAI) seeks to expand and strengthen its Board of Directors, welcoming individuals with experience in lived experiences of disadvantage, HR, and fundraising. Prior Board experience is not essential. Candidates should be committed to CHAI, possess integrity and strategic vision, dedicate time and effort to duties, exercise independent judgment and have good communication, tact, diplomacy, and teamwork skills.
