To enhance the quality of life for older people in North Edinburgh by continuing to develop services that measurably reduce isolation and which enable people and other vulnerable and isolated adults to actively participate in community life.
Running to a schedule, drivers collect older & other vulnerable adults from their homes, with assistance from passenger assistants; drive them to a location, and pick them up for the return journey. Drivers may be requested to clean the bus or work with other local projects. Volunteer drivers are requested to work with an passenger assistant for familiarisation. Must be willing to undertake a disclosure through the PVG Scheme
Set up dinner plates and cups etc, help with co-ordinating games or activities organised for that day, assist service users when playing board games or bingo, clear away and assist with washing cutlery and plates. Must be willing to undertake a disclosure through the PVG Scheme
Working in a group session alongside our Mental Health workers. Encourage and support members through various therapeutic activities such as: gentle exercise, walking, craft making, painting, games, light gardening. This opportunity can be for 1,2 or 3 days or afternoons during the week. Must be willing to undertake a disclosure through the PVG Scheme
Set and maintain PEP's vision, mission and values, support strategic development of services, establish and monitor policies, monitor employment procedures alongside Manager, support the Manager, promote the organisation.
