Current opportunities
Volunteers play an integral role in championing Oxfam values, running the shops and promoting our life saving work to the wider community. This is a customer facing role providing excellent customer service on the shop floor, developing an understanding of all aspects of the shops work so they can support the whole team as necessary. This can include receiving donations from the public, using the shops guidelines to sort and price donated items, promoting our gift aid scheme and enjoy creating attractive displays across the shop.
The Oxfam Boutique at Newton Mearns is looking for a fantastic team. As a boutique shop you will be surrounded by beautiful items all kindly donated and needing to be sold to our wonderful customers either in the shop or online.
As a Sales Assistant Volunteer you will be at the till, serving customers as the friendly face of your shop. You will help people facing poverty around the world by giving great customer service and making donors, customers and supporters feel welcome in our shop. We’ll give you ongoing training and support so that you can feel right at home as part of the Oxfam Community!
