Clued Up Project

Charity registered in Scotland SC035036

Clued Up provides a comprehensive "youth friendly" drug/alcohol support and information service for young people under 25 in the Fife area also targeting the general issues of general well being and lifestyle. The project provides education, prevention, early intervetion and diversion for young people affected by their own or someone else's substance use.

Current opportunity

With funding from the Big Lottery, Clued Up was asked to support young people aged 12 – 18 living in Auchmuty, Glenrothes to engage in the Our Place process, build on their capacity to contribute to their community and help them be involved in creating a better place to live by developing youth facilities and a programme of learning activities based on what they need and want. This is where the Youth Auchmuty Project (YAP) was born. YAP run activities on a Friday and Wednesday and they are seeking board members to help set up the Steering Group, ensuring the project is self-sustaining as well as continuing to provide support, security and opportunities for young people within Auchmuty. Using a youth-led approach, young people’s opinions are valued giving them a sense of empowerment and increasing their ability to influence. This creates an exciting opportunity for volunteers to become involved in YAP in its new form. Volunteering as a board member will allow you to assist within a youth work and community development setting, utilising skills such as leadership, communication, networking and fundraising whilst sharing local knowledge.
