At the Muirhead Outreach Project our mission is to keep families together in their communities through challenging times. By providing early interventions (through 1-2-1 support and group work) we want to reduce the need for children to have to spend time in residential care.


Current opportunity

The Muirhead Outreach project is an early intervention charity that works with families to keep them together through difficult and challenging times. Their aim is to minimise the impact of trauma on families and help them break the cycle. As a trustee for the organisation your role will involve providing good governance and support for the staff team and project. The Board meet a minimum four times per year and attend various fundraising events throughout the year. The MOP board of Trustees are looking for new members and whilst all you really need is enthusiasm about our work and to share our values…. Most of the board members have full time jobs as well as their volunteer role as Trustee. -We meet a minimum of 4 times a year (face to face if possible) -We attend and help with fundraising events -We have access to training and development opportunities -Once a year we host an AGM -We are aware of Muirheads plans and goals and support the team towards achieving them Oh….and we eat cake….lots of cake!
