This is a thriving charity, used by over 150 people per week, run by a committee of volunteers, and employing an office manager and a caretaker. Being part of the team is rewarding, fun, and sometimes challenging! Activities for all ages include sports, exercise, crafts, and lunch clubs. The Centre supports an increasing number of services addressing mental health and welfare issues by engaging vulnerable individuals in social and other activities. It also hosts a food bank. There is a phenomenal buzz when you come through the doors of the Centre. As a trustee you are brought into contact with all ages, making a contribution that directly impacts the community. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Taking a strategic role in business planning and fund-raising. Working with the chair and trustees to ensure that the charity’s financial position is solid.
