Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland

Charity registered in Scotland SC031600

Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland (CBCS) exists to promote the well-being of bereaved people in Scotland. We seek to help anyone experiencing bereavement to understand the grief and cope with their loss. We work primarily through volunteers, providing free care to bereaved people. We also train and educate individuals and organisations who may in turn be able to contribute to the well-being of bereaved people.

Current opportunities

Step-by-Step is a project that supports bereaved people by giving them a chance to socialise and meet with others who have had similar experiences. This opportunity is to take part in a step-by-step walking group which will be in a different location each fortnight, in your local area. Volunteers will be assisting the co-ordinator, helping with identifying local walks, and will be supporting individual group members on the walks themselves. Each walk will be no longer that 1.5 hours on easy terrain in your local area Tuesday walk (10:30-1pm)every two weeks Thursday walk (11:30am-12.30) every two weeks

Cruse Scotland exists to promote the wellbeing of bereaved people in Scotland. As a Step by Step group support volunteer, you would be helping to support bereaved people by giving them a chance to socialise and meet with others who have had similar experiences. If you are a caring and empathetic person who can help support bereaved people to feel less isolated, more understood, cared for, listened to, and supported Cruse Scotland would value your contribution to their team.
