Volunteer to assist day care workers, join in on recreational activities with the elderly who the majority have a form of dementia. Sit and chat to the group providing socialisation and company to individuals in the group, assist with lunches and general running of the day-to-day routine and volunteers can also assist with escorting duties.

Abbeyview Day Centre are a local charity providing day care to housebound people over 65. The charity also provide support to carers and relatives of people living with dementia. Becoming a Board Member, you will be bringing your existing skills and experiences to help our charity make a difference to the local community. This can be a very rewarding role, and a chance to build your skills. Board Members will be involved in running and directing the charity and making informed decisions alongside the other board members.
