Age Concern Glenrothes (ACG) provides services for older people in the Glenrothes area that enhance their quality and enjoyment of life by encouraging interaction, mental & physical activity, and companionship.
They seek an enthusiastic person with a financial background to oversee the organisation’s finances and to share responsibility with their other Board members for ensuring ACG is run effectively and efficiently.
By joining their Board of Directors as Treasurer you will be responsible for producing financial reports for funders, producing a realistic budget, advising and guiding the Board on the financial implications of the charity’s strategy, and understanding the accounting procedures and key internal controls to be able to assure the Board of the organisation’s financial integrity.
Your experience and expertise will contribute to providing the services needed to meet this aim. This opportunity allows you to further develop your skills and gives you a very real feeling of actively helping vulnerable people.
