Age Concern Glenrothes provides services for older people in the Glenrothes area that enhance their quality and enjoyment of life by encouraging interaction, mental and physical activity and companionship. Their aim is to promote independence and reduce social isolation.
To transport and assist clients who travel to and from their homes to ACG's Active Ageing day services using own vehicle. this involves ensuring clients are comfortable and safe in your vehicle, providing assistance with seatbelts as required and transporting rollators/walking aids as required. you will assist the client to and from your vehicle when collecting them from their homes and on arrival at the centre. You will drive in a safe and lawful manner, and ensure your vehicle is well maintained with all necessary documentation and insurance in place.
Age Concern Glenrothes (ACG) seek an enthusiastic person with a financial background to oversee the organisation’s finances and to share responsibility with our other Board members for ensuring ACG is run effectively and efficiently.
ACG provides services for older people in the Glenrothes area that enhance their quality of life by encouraging interaction, mental & physical activity and companionship. Your experience and expertise will contribute to providing the services needed to meet this aim. This opportunity allows you to further develop your skills and gives you a very real feeling of actively helping vulnerable people.
By joining their Board of Directors as Treasurer you will be responsible for producing financial reports for funders, producing a realistic budget, advising and guiding the Board on the financial implications of the charity’s strategy, and understanding the accounting procedures and key internal controls to be able to assure the Board of the organisation’s financial integrity.

Age Concern are looking for enthusiastic, caring volunteers to help support older people at their sessions and make a real difference to the lives of others.
Their Day Service Volunteers attend for 3 hours per session every morning and afternoon on weekdays. Reporting to the Session Coordinator and working within a team of staff and volunteers they assist in providing activities, entertainment, and help with the preparation of a snack for clients. They also help to ensure a warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere, and to promote and maintain client independence and confidence. All volunteers are PVG Scheme checked, and induction and training is provided. A full role description and application is available on request.
