Current opportunities
Express Group provide group activities and one to one casework for people who are experiencing poor mental health. They aim to help prevent social isolation and thus help people maintain good mental wellbeing.
Their board usually meet every second month for a maximum of two hours, currently at 1.00pm on Wednesdays via zoom, but this could change in the future depending on the needs & commitments of board members.
Directors are responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the Express Group and monitoring the management provided by the service manager.
Express Group (Fife) Ltd is a company limited by guarantee, with charitable status. This means that Board members are Company Directors and Charitable Trustees.
The service manager and administration & finance officer will provide various reports to the board covering finance, staffing, service user comments/complaints and future direction of the organisation for board decisions.
Boards need a range of skills, but commitment and enthusiasm are most important. Free training on Director/Trustee roles and responsibilities is available.
