Provision of a service to adults over 18 years who have a psychiatric illness or are recovering from a period of mental illness. through the operation of 9 groups held throughout Fife providing peer support with the objective of a planned return back into mainstream services or community groups. Service users can undertake various activities and are provided with a hot lunch at each group. Various day trips, both social and educational and occasional holidays are also arranged with service users.
One to one sessions held between Service User and Development Worker using the IROC process, followed by further reviews depending on recovery period.
Encouragement of service users to participate in the planning and running of the groups giving members influence regarding the Service being provided.
Opportunities for service users to use and expand their existing abilities as well as developing their potential through new experiences and activities, encouraging targeted integration back into the community.

Express Group (Fife) is a Scottish Registered Charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee that provides a high-quality service to people aged 18 years and over who are experiencing poor mental health. They aim to assist people, despite long term, enduring mental ill health, to live life to the full in the community. This is done in a social environment (10 groups in Fife) and in a low-key manner to be non-threatening to individuals with greater vulnerability. Access to the group(s) is open to anyone who has a psychiatric illness and who resides in Fife. Express Group (Fife) are seeking people to join their board who have experience of working in the Third Sector but applications from individuals who wish to gain experience of working at board level would be considered.
