Advocacy Highland is looking for individuals with experience of fundraising to help our service. Tasks are all flexible depending on what you are comfortable with and are very much person centred • To source new fundraising sources • To help suggest new fundraising ideas and get involved as much or as little as you can • To attend Volunteer team meetings • Use contacts/social media to spread awareness of Advocacy Highland • Raise awareness of any fundraising projects

Advocacy Highland is looking for someone with good digital skills to help upskill our team and develop our digital strategy. We are looking for someone interested in modernising our service delivery technically. • To help provide training on Microsoft Teams to enhance what we do. • To help advise with any digital upgrades, researching various options and presenting ideas. • To try and keep ahead of digital changes and updating the Board of Directors • Advice on website content • Advice on mobile device usage • Enhance use of social media • 1-2-1 coaching to staff on digital skills such as one drive • Be available to give advice by appointment on digital problems e.g. a laptop running slow.

Advocacy Highland is looking for individuals with experience of using Advocacy to help support and champion our service. Tasks are all flexible depending on what you are comfortable with and are very much person centred • To get involved in some aspects of training new Advocates i.e. talk about your experience of Advocacy • To attend Volunteer team meetings • To attend volunteer recruitment or awareness raising events with Advocacy workers and speak to others about advocacy • Tell your story • Use contacts/social media to spread awareness of Advocacy Highland Raise awareness of any fundraising projects

The Board of Directors work under the direction of the Chairperson to ensure probity, provide governance and work in partnership with the Manager to achieve the aims of Advocacy Highland. The main duties include; • To ensure that the organisation conducts its business in accordance with its Memorandum and Articles of Association and in adherence with relevant legislation. • To govern the organisation within best practice frameworks. • To attend Board Meetings (and relevant sub committees) regularly and contribute actively to the role of the Board in determining strategy, approving policy and monitoring performance. • To ensure the organisation’s resources are deployed in pursuance of its objectives and that its finances are systematically accounted for, audited and made publically available. • To oversee the management of existing advocacy provision and any future development. • To foster effective relationships between Board members and staff, service users, other stakeholders and others who are important to the organisation. • To participate where appropriate in the recruitment of senior staff. • To contribute any specific skills, knowledge and experience to assist the Board of Directors reach sound decisions. • To safeguard the good name and ethos of the organisation and to promote the organisation and its work, along with fellow Board members and staff, to existing and potential funding agencies, donors, supporters and beneficiaries.
