Current opportunities

We need more volunteers to help us run our busy café in Haddington. We are a busy café located within East Lothian Community Hospital which is mainly run by a friendly group of volunteers who generously give up their time to ensure patients and healthcare professionals have a clean and well run café to go to for food and refreshments. Our café is open between 9am-3pm, Monday to Friday and any time that someone is able to give up to help us would be greatly appreciated.

Royal Voluntary Service are looking for volunteers to support their Healthy and Happy Lives Groups, which are lunch and activity groups that run three times a week in Larick Centre in Tayport. Volunteers are needed to support people to attend regular social activities, connect to their community and boost their wellbeing by living as independently as they can. You could be driving people to local activities, offering lunches and healthy snacks, and tailoring support through social activities. Some of the things you could be doing include offering tips on nutrition and hydration, helping with strength and mobility boosting exercises, or taking part in crafts and hobbies with an older person. If you'd like to have a positive effect on people in your community, this is the role for you.
