Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE)

Charity registered in Scotland SC037475

The Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) is the national third sector intermediary for a range of health and social care organisations. We have a growing membership of over 3,000 national and local third sector organisations, associates in the statutory and private sectors, disabled people, people living with long term conditions and unpaid carers.

Our vision is for a Scotland where people of all ages who are disabled or living with long term conditions, and unpaid carers, have a strong voice and enjoy their right to live well, as equal and active citizens, free from discrimination, with support and services that put them at the centre.

Current opportunity

Have you or anyone you know been affected by gambling harm? Gambling-related harms are harms from gambling on the health and wellbeing of individuals, families, communities, and society. This includes financial, employment, and relationship issues, physical and mental health problems, criminal activity, and in the most severe cases suicide as a direct result of gambling harm. The Scotland Reducing Gambling Harm programme at the ALLIANCE are looking to increase engagement with people with lived experience of gambling harms, to help shape action to reduce gambling harms in Scotland by sharing their expertise and priorities. You can get involved by becoming a member of the Lived Experience Forum or contributing on an individual basis. If you are from Scotland, have lived experience of gambling harms and would like to influence policy, sign-up by the 7 April here: https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/gamblingharmforum/ or visit our website to find out more: Get involved in the Scottish Gambling Harm Lived Experience Forum - Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland: https://www.alliance-scotland.org.uk/blog/news/get-involved-in-the-scottish-gambling-harm-lived-experience-forum/
