Current opportunities

You will help on our welcome desk and will be the first point of contact for people entering the Steading. Give information about the centre, direct people to the right place and answer telephone calls. Within our popular community building you will be greeting people who are attending classes or coming to the café. You will take booking for our Soft Play & Sensory rooms, answer any enquires either face to face or over the phone and generally make people feel welcome. During this time, you will also help take Track and Trace details of people entering the building.

You will support activities at our fun and exciting After School Groups working with children aged 5-11. Tasks include preparation, set up and delivery. Our inspiring programme covers Arts, Crafts, Lego club and Community activities. As a Volunteer you will support a Community Activities Leader to plan and deliver a wide variety of activities helping the children learn new skills, increase confidence, and have a greater awareness of the world around them. You will have the opportunity to bring new ideas and could take the lead on sessions once you feel confident. All we ask is that you are committed and enthusiastic ready to support the children and provide a fun atmosphere where children can take part in activities safely. Great for the experienced or those looking to gain experience, enhance your CV or your volunteering hours.

Excellent opportunity for someone looking to demonstrate their skills as a Digital Content Creator. We are looking for a volunteer Content Creator to write and create engaging media to populate our social media pages. This could include short videos, interviews, gifs and other content pieces to drive traffic to our premises in Rosewell.

The Rosewell Lunch club meets twice a week, we are seeking someone to assist on a Thursday lunch time. Duties will include setting up, serving meals, interacting with the service users and clearing away.
