Our ambition is a future where every person with sight loss has the confidence and support they need to live their lives to the full. To help achieve this objective we are looking for fostering volunteers.
Our respite fosterers provide temporary accommodation for a dog at home on behalf of Guide Dogs, and comply with the Boarders Agreement in relation to the welfare and handling of the dog or puppy.
Guide Dogs are looking for lots of new fundraising volunteers across Scotland to support our services. There could be a role for you!
Roles include:
* Fundraiser - Assist the local fundraising team in promoting and taking part in a variety of activities to raise money for Guide Dogs
* Group co-ordinator - Help our fundraising groups to organise events and secure new opportunities for fundraising.* Collection box co-ordinator - Place our iconic collection boxes with businesses in your local area and collect and bank them when they get full.
* Secretary - Work with the local fundraising group and their coordinator to contact local organisations to secure new opportunities for fundraising, keep the fundraising group volunteers up to date with information and update social media pages to advertise fundraising events and collections.
* Treasurer - Count and bank all the money raised by your local fundraising group.
* Merchandise co-ordinator - Take responsibility for the Guide Dogs merchandise being sold by your local fundraising group, including the cuddly toys!
