Orkney Citizens Advice Bureau

Orkney CAB is independent, and provides free, confidential and impartial advice to anyone living and/or working in the local community. We deliver information, advice and representation covering a wide range of subjects, including; benefits, debt and money advice, consumer issues, housing issues, neighbour problems, family and personal problems, legal matters including eviction, mortgage repossession and small claims, employment advice, immigration and NHS health care. Our services are delivered by a team of trained volunteers supported by specialist staff.


Current opportunities

Duties involve answering telephone calls, passing on messages and making client appointments. It may also be necessary to record information in our recording system - Castle.

CAB are currently looking for a new Treasurer to join their Board of Trustees to help guide and advise them on financial concerns. The general role of the Treasurer is to maintain an overview of the organisation's affairs, ensure the organisation is financially viable and ensure that proper financial records and procedures are maintained.
