Volunteer receptionists are the first point of contact for clients entering the bureau and liaise with bureau staff to direct clients to appropriate advisers and keep any waiting clients up to date on waiting times.
Moray CAB provides independent, impartial, free and confidential information and advice to the community of Moray.
Volunteer advisers interview clients, find the relevant information on our information system and explain this to the client so they can make an informed decision on what action to take. Advisers can also provide practical support such as assisting to complete forms or contacting other agencies on a clients behalf. The adviser would also make a record of the clients' visit and the advice given and actions taken so further support can be provided should the client need to return.
