We all need to stay at home to protect ourselves and others. However, those who are well and not at risk can provide essential support for their family, friends and neighbours who cannot leave the house.

Current opportunities

Be part of a something incredible. The Aberlour Scout Group needs volunteers and importantly, committee members. This is a real opportunity to change the lives of young people. Committee members meet about three times per year, but have an important role in making sure the Group is effectively run and that Leaders are supported. Committee members make sure the Scout Group has a good place to meet, has equipment -- they can assist with the recruitment of leaders, organising social events and help to make sure finances are in order. As Scouts, we are committed to preparing more young people with skills for life, supported by amazing leaders delivering an inspiring programme. Committee members are vital in making this positive impact in the lives of our young people and in our local communities.

As an adult interested in the Scout movement there are many ways you can help. We change lives by offering young people fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so that we make a positive impact in communities. Volunteers can give as much or as little of your time as you choose. There are opportunities for Leaders, Management, Instructors, Administrators, Committee Members, Supporters and Helpers.

Scouting has been around since 1907, however today’s Scouting for All is so different and a lot has changed! Under our new strategy, and with a focus on “perception”, we are looking for a keen volunteer to take forward a media campaign to make sure people know how dynamic today's Scouting movement really is! We are looking for someone with an interest in media and marketing who can link us into various aspects of media, taking the lead to change the perception of scouting in Moray to those over the age of 18. If you are an ideas person, can sell concepts, and can also work to help us grow our team of adult volunteers, please get in touch ., This is also a fantastic way to help young people attain the “skills for life” -- and to grow and celebrate all the is Scouting!
